Family time on Keuka Lake

This week has been relaxing, spending time with the family on Keuka Lake and catching up with the nieces and nephews I haven’t seen in awhile.  Keuka always provides for some great photo opportunities, and this week was no different.  The campers from Camp Iroquois (the sheriff’s camp) obliged by sailing their brightly colored boats right out in front of the cottage on Wednesday afternoon.

I’ve been busy with shows and contest preparations again.  Wayne County Council for the Arts is my next upcoming show — I dropped off three entries for the Member Show that runs through the end of August.  I also made a run to Syracuse to drop off my entries for the New York State Fair.  I also entered some photos in the Gallery 96 upcoming Street Photography show.  I don’t do a lot of street photography, but had a couple of interesting shots to enter, so we’ll see if they do anything.  It’s a new gallery to me, and a new set of contacts to meet and interact with.

Today I am off for a photo shoot at Genesee Country Village and Museum for Wilder Days.  It sounds like a massive party, and that I should be Ubering instead of driving, doesn’t it?  Au contraire!   This takes me back to being a little girl …. think Little House on the Prairie!  Yes, Wilder, as in Laura Ingalls Wilder.  Can’t wait to see what today holds!  I’ll have pictures later.  For now, I’ll leave you with a few photos from my evening with Mercy Flight at the National Night Out….. are you allowed to have pizza on the helicopter?
